| This PTF contains a modified version of one or more
program modules. The modification is not a full upgrade or a product
replacement; it is a temporary program fix that is valid only until
we release an update that incorporates the changes to the product.
Temporary licenses for applications
This Service Pack allows you to install ACCPAC Plus applications and
use them for up to 30 days before you get a program activation code
from ACCPAC International. You must enter program activation codes
within 30 days using the installation program, or the temporary
licenses will expire. Note that temporary licensing does not apply
to LanPak.
Two-digit years in DBIII files
The released version of WSM 7.0 does not import two-digit years
properly from DBIII. This Service Pack corrects the problem.
Entering two-digit years in four-digit year fields
This Service Pack allows you to enter two-digit years in four-digit
year
fields. To enter, type the last two digits of the year, entering two
spaces or two periods for the century either before or after the two
digits (to fill out the field).
Faster checking of menu permissions
This Service Pack enables Windowing System Manager to check
permissions on the menu items faster than the current release of the
System Manager. (Checking occurs when an application is started with
the security system in use.) The speed difference is most noticeable
on Wide Area Networks and with older operating systems, such as MS
Windows for Workgroups 3.11.
Supports more Finder fields
This Service Pack allows the System Manager to work with the larger
number of Finder fields required by the Version 7.0 applications.
Switch to Supervisor function
The released version of Windowing System Manager 7.0 can set the
system menu permissions incorrectly when the "Switch to
Supervisor" function is used. This Service Pack corrects the
problem.
Prior Fixes in Service Pack 1
Prevents Failure When Swapping Between Applications
The current release of System Manager will occasionally
perform an "illegal operation" under Microsoft Windows
when swapping between some ACCPAC application windows using function
keys F4 or F10 (causing the DOS session to be terminated). This PTF
fixes the problem.
Doesn't Forget the Previous Settings When Editing Colors
Version 7.0 of the System Manager does not retain settings
properly when you edit the colors on the Colors and Shades screen.
(When you choose Colors and Shades, System Manager internally sets
the colors back to the factory defaults while continuing to display
your previous settings. When you save the color settings, System
Manager saves your new changes only; previous changes are ignored.)
