Program Temporary Fix
Job Costing 6.1
This PTF combines the updates from two previous Job Costing
PTFs, and it allows the import of Cost Batches with dates in the
next century.
Setting default minimum and maximum dates for the:
- Customer Job Summary
- Manager Job Summary
- Job Status Report
- Change Order Report
- Billing Worksheet
- AIA Billing Worksheet
PRINT COST BATCHES & POST COST BATCHES
In the previous version, the program would incorrectly allow the
printing and posting of batches under the following conditions: -
importing cost batches, AND - using a nonexistent phase or category,
AND - using the simple cost tracking option.
This diskette contains new programs that fix the problem.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are not importing cost batches, or if you
have blank phases or categories, you might not want the PTF program
to fix this problem. If you do NOT want the PTF program to fix this
this problem, choose "Yes" when the PTF installation
program asks you whether to exclude this option. (Choosing
"Yes" updates the Data Integrity Checker and installs the
same changes as PTF JC961001.EXE. Choosing "No" updates
the Data Integrity Checker and installs the same changes as PTF
JC970412.EXE.)
DATA INTEGRITY CHECKER
This diskette contains new programs that fix the Data Integrity
Checker, and fix any data errors caused from running the previous
Data Integrity Checker. After you install this diskette, run the
Data Integrity Checker in "fix" mode to repair data
errors.
A/M/D TIMESHEETS IN JOB COSTING FOR CANADIAN PAYROLL
Under certain circumstances, the previous version of
Add/Modify/Delete Timesheets for Canadian Payroll did not correctly
calculate the amount derived from the decimal portion of the
Hours/Units value.
This diskette contains a new A/M/D Timesheets program that fixes
the problem.
SIMPLE COST TRACKING
When you track a job with Simple Cost Tracking, the previous
versions of the Job Status and Job in Progress reports showed that
Overhead was erroneously expensed when you posted Cost Transactions
AND when you posted Billings, effectively doubling the Overhead
expensed.
This diskette contains new programs that fix the problem.
Overhead will be expensed correctly on all jobs set up AFTER you
install this diskette.
CONVERSION OF ESTIMATES FROM PRE-6.1A TO VERSION 6.1A DATA
Follow these instructions only if you just discovered this
conversion problem; that is, you have just now upgraded to Job
Costing 6.1A.
Restore the backup of your 6.0A (or earlier) data you made before
you installed Job Costing version 6.1A and converted your data.
This diskette contains a new data conversion program. The
conversion of pre-6.1A data to version 6.1A does not convert
estimates correctly. You must restore the backup of your data made
before you installed Job Costing 6.1A. When the new conversion
program converts your 6.0A (or earlier) data to 6.1A, the estimates
will be converted correctly.
AIA BILLINGS WORKSHEET
The previous version of the AIA Billings Worksheet incorrectly
reported the Billed Previously value for phases that are set up with
no categories and for jobs that have revenue tracking at the phase
level.
This diskette contains new programs that fix the problem.
A/M/D JOB ESTIMATES
In the previous version of Add/Modify/Delete Job Estimates, if
more than one user is entering job estimates for the same database,
it is possible for the job summary file (JCJSUM) to become
corrupted.
